21st Century Academy Staff Photo and myself on the
"4 Day Education for Life" event in Melbourne February 2008
Hi, and welcome to our website. My name is Ken Lay. I'm the one circled in red in the staff photo. I'm passionate about helping people find their way to be financially educated and achieving their dreams.
People think I'm crazy, a dreamer, disillusioned, give me strange looks when I tell them I'm going to retire from the workforce within 5 years but that hasn't deterred me cause I have the WHY and will do what it takes to achieve my goals.
If your WHY is not powerful enough, I can tell you right now it will be very difficult to achieve your goals for the simple reason that when hurdles come your way either from your friends, family and associates, you will simply give up pursuing your dreams.
I have my WHY now but it wasn't always the case. A decade ago I had a mindset of majority of the population where I was encourage to study hard and get a decent job. When I finished high school I just wanted to work for a company, moving up within the ranks, get a better education and gain better skills and retire happy. That was my mindset at the time and that's all I knew. As years went by, and seeing older associates retiring from the workforce and talking to people's experiences with retirement who are barely surviving on their pension, living in poverty with limited choices is not exactly what I had in mind. I want to live a life of abudance while young and enjoy it with my family so I was determined to educate myself and find the best mentors.
Over the years I have literally spent thousands upon thousands on my personal development from shares trading courses, property investing, internet marketing, search engine optimisation, attending seminars and reading success books, listening to self development gurus from around the world and so on. I believe the mindset is the biggest obstacle to people achieving their goals. Actually our mindset makes up 80% of the equation to success and only 20% on strategies. In the 21st Century I believe we need to continually develop our skills even if we have to outlay money to learn from the best and those who have actually applied the strategies and living their dreams.
I went on a quest to find the best mentors and find out what makes them different and why there's so few succesful people out there compared to the total population. I've sat and dined with self-made millionaires and they are no more luckier, smarter, or more talented than you and I. I discovered they have similar traits, absolute sheer determination to succeed and never gave up on their dreams, they took massive action, develop their goals and visions, structured their time to build their business or investment strategies, developed the mindset of a millionaire and a vision on what they want to achieve in life.
Success doesn't come because you WANT it. It comes because you DESERVE it. You have to fight for wealth and step out of your comfort zone. You have to pay a price to achieve your dreams. You have to earn the right of passage to gain success. It requires a huge shift in mindset from the 95% of the population who will be broke when they retire. Only 5% of the population are able to sustain themselves comfortably after retirement and less than 1% achieve incredible success.
Successful and wealthy people are the minority, yet they possess the majority of the wealth. The real answer is that they searched their heart and determined what they wanted in life and fought for it.
This is my WHY. I want my financial freedom in order that I can spend more time with my family, without being tied down to a regular job. I want to achieve millionaire status within 5 years so I can help my friends and loved ones and empower them with the knowledge that we gained.
We want to set up a scholarship fund for Philippine High School students who have no financial ability to gain a higher education. Most of them don't even have money to buy their own shoes, school uniform or Stationeries. Did you know the average Filipino earns AU$3.50 to $8 a day? That's equivalent to my Hungry Jacks large bacon deluxe meal. Find the poorest Australian pensioner and times it by ten or more, that's the average living standard in Phlippines. With a population of 90 million people and with a land mass, the size of Victoria it all adds up to widespread poverty.
We want to empower people to break out of the poverty cycle through education. Setup a Perpetual Education fund where a loan is provided to a student to gain access to a high school education. The loan is revolving when it is paid off it is passed on to another student who has no opportunity to progress any further without financial assistance.
The book "What I Didn't Learn At School But Wish I Had" by Jamie McIntyre is probably one of the best books that I've read. Jamie is genuine in helping the average person excel and there are many people that have retired from their jobs implementing his strategies. I was so impressed with their seminars, investment strategies, financial services and support
I've attended seminars by other presenters before but after attending Jamie McIntyre seminar in Melbourne I was simply stunned at the quality of the information provided and the number of presenters teaching various strategies from shares, asset protection, property investing and internet business and marketing that I immediately signed up to the 21st Century Academy Business Partnership program.
Jamie's program has a lot of value but it is not for everyone you need to have the WHY to make it successful. His multi-million dollar educational company is set to break into the US and UK market and they are also working on to be listed in the Australian Shares Exchange.
The 21st Century Academy has been an inspiration for us, as most of the employees are investors themselves and geniunely want to help others and give back to the society. I hope you take action out of inspiration instead of out of desperation, get educated and follow your dreams. Grab yourself a Free Dvd and Hardcopy of Jamie McIntyre book now.
To Your Success,
Ken Lay
